I read the post regarding issues with not able to play games with the computer correctly and to switch to Nvidia graphics card using the switchable graphics feature. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community. From NVidia software Optimus manually assign the 940MX to the two games. (Couldn't do the hard reset as I could not find any way to remove the laptop battery). Windows in Safe Mode, then uninstall Intel and NVidia drivers, then Windows in normal mode, and reinstall the drivers. Interestingly in the System Information (Win+R -> msinfo32) The graphic card is correctly marked to be the NVidia Gefroce 940MX, but below, where it says Card RAM it counts (1 048 576) Byte, which is 1GB, so for me this is another hint that the graphic card is not working correctly. Unfortunately my NVidia graphic card is not working, as shown by poor performance with videogames: Starcraft2 has to be played with the lowest graphic settings, and The Witcher 3 is unplayable (a couple of fps) even with everything set on low. It is equipped with an integrated Intel graphic card and an Nvidia 940MX (4GB VRAM), I have W10 64bit and the latest drivers for my NVidia graphic card (388.31 as red from the NVidia software, or 23.
